Basic Job Functions:
- Create detailed design layouts and schematics for data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for data centers, including safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and innovations to enhance the performance and efficiency of data centers.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements and present design solutions that meet their needs.
- Ability to design Data Center racking in collaboration with consultant PE’s.
- Ability to assist Data Center in layout and take-offs.
- Commitment to increasing sales in the Data Center sector
- Educate and train customers on Nucor Data Systems products.
- Prepare 3D model data center design concepts.
- Build strong working relationships with Data Center customers.
- Travel to Data Center project sites to perform inspections, as required.
- Able to travel to industry events as needed.
- Be a key team member able to interface with all inter-company departments.

- 2 – 4 years of experience in Sales, Design, and/ or customer service experience.
- 2 – 4 years of solid understanding of the Data Center Industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Basic understanding of racking engineering requirements.
- Proficient using Design Software’s (AutoCAD, Solid Works, and Inventor)
- 2 – 4 years experience as a Sales Design/ Engineer, or business development experience within the Data Center sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiency, preferred.
- Minimum education: Bachelor Degree.
