Basic Job Functions:
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for all activities associated with the shipping, receiving, and inventory control depts. They Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for the training, coaching and development of each teammate on the shipping, receiving, and inventory control teams. The Shipping Supervisor must be able to provide fully scoped analysis for shipments at all levels, have the ability to manage the raw materials and WIP/FG pole section inventories to include weekly cycle counts & annual physical inventory, and provide all POD validation points. The Shipping Supervisor must have strong communication skills and will be expected to collaborate with customers, logistical contractors, NTS’ procurement team, NTS’ project managers, and all teammates at the facility to ensure that the operation runs as efficiently as possible. The Shipping Supervisor will keep the pole facility, galvanizing facility, and blast facility moving with raw material in and finished product out while unloading/loading inbound/outbound freight in accordance with scheduling requirements. Shipping Supervisor will spearhead communication with all internal and external customers to make sure all deliveries are shipped on time as scheduled. Most importantly, the Shipping Supervisor will ensure teammates are working safely at all times.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong computer skillset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and D365
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to stay engaged with all direct reports on all shifts
- 2 years of experience in a logistics environment.
- 2 years’ experience in a production/material handling role
