Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Birmingham is seeking a leader committed to taking care of our customers. The successful candidate will be a safety-minded, goal-oriented, cost and quality-driven applicant with proven understanding of customer service and focus on building relationships. Schedule may include hours beyond normal business hours.

Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative may include but are not limited to:

• Work cooperatively with our team to manage customer accounts, create new customer accounts, and develop existing customer opportunities. This position is responsible for actively managing multiple customer accounts, pursuing growth and representing Nucor daily.
• This position will require coordinating with outside sales, production, shipping, mill leadership and metallurgist(s) to sell product and service customers.
• This position will need to provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquiries, while also entering orders timely and accurately with attention to detail.
  
  

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

3 years customer service experience or a bachelor’s degree business, marketing, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior sales experience in manufacturing environment
• Merchant bar quality/rebar product knowledge
• Experience with Oracle system and customer relationship management tools
