Basic Job Functions:
Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded effective communicator to join our team. The NTS Buyer will be responsible for order placement as well as refining processes and procedures to support procurement initiatives including MRO, capital projects, raw material and outside processing. This position will serve as the business unit subject matter expert in support of a new ERP system and purchasing transactions, reporting and analysis.
This position will be in Rock Hill, SC but may require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis.
Nucor Towers & Structures: Is part of Nucor’s Expand Beyond initiative. NTS builds transmission towers that is critical for Americas future infrastructure.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with utilizing ERP systems for purchasing, AP or AR, as well as reporting and data analysis
- Experience with process documentation and process improvement
- Experience with customer or supplier development
- Commitment to safety; actively involved in safety initiatives
- Associates degree or higher
- Experience in a procurement role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with D365
- Experience with inventory procurement, planning and control
- Experience in shop floor production planning & scheduling
- Basic understanding of how to impact profitability through procurement planning
- Experience working with a greenfield or startup environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
