25 year established, small (less than 100 employees), profitable manufacturing company located in the West Metro seeking a Full Time experienced Project Manager.

As the Buyer/Planner, you will be working alongside a number of team members from warehouse staff to the owner and will hold the responsibility for the execution of purchase orders, managing vendors/ suppliers while holding them accountable for deliverables and tracking department tasks, reporting/dashboarding and will be involved in managing inventory levels. We want someone who will help us fully define this role by showing us your capabilities and ability to be resourceful in times of need. You must be willing to work on projects that may have little direction available, but an overall concept in its place.
The right candidate will be proactive in understanding production needs, lead times, and support raw material ordering/purchasing to support manufacturing and drive customer satisfaction. This role will require the utmost attention to detail, the highest level of communication, strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines. You must have confidence in your performance, be a self-starter with a positive can-do attitude and also know when it is appropriate to get support. Our buyer/planner always finds a way to get the materials where they need to be and on time. If you like fast paced in an always learning environment this is for you.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Key Vendor Account management and interaction for both International and Domestic.
· Understand contractual agreements and risks.
· Support all manufacturing purchasing activity
· Coordinate material and fulfillment activities from Demand Planning.
· Execute PO’s accurately and timely.
· Manage company project timelines in a traceable and transparent format.
· Create costing spreadsheets to understand expected margins.
· Issue purchase orders, track and monitor from point of issuing to point of delivering/final execution.
· Coordination of various short duration and long duration projects and development activities
· Product research development assistance
· Prepare and send samples to customers as needed.
· Customer communication
· Coordinate meeting set up, including possible presentation preparation
· Office Management duties (often a shared responsibility within the company)
· Run errands for President and other department leads as needed. (a shared responsibility within the company)
· Must be ok with being “Hands On” in working directly with the final product for inspection, understanding good quality vs trial quality. All positions will work directly with the product to collectively hold quality at the highest standards and stay as informed as possible.
Skills and Requirements:
· POSITIVE attitude and willing to help out where necessary
· Computer skills a must (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
· Experience with Process Control a plus!
· Must be able to juggle a changing work load.
· Must be able to self-manage tasks and reprioritize as needed
· Multi-tasking applying organization and prioritization skills, sense of urgency
