Role : Snowflake Solutions Architect (Azure Environment)
Location : Phoenix, AZ / Rockville, MD
Working Mode: Day 1 onsite (2-3 days in a week – hybrid model)
Role Overview
Nucleusteq is seeking a Snowflake Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-grade Snowflake Data Platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will architect multi-zone (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data layers, define governance frameworks, and lead the migration of legacy ETL pipelines and data assets into the modern Snowflake environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and implement Snowflake on Azure, integrating with ADLS, Synapse, and other enterprise systems.
• Design and establish Bronze (Raw), Silver (Curated), and Gold (Presentation) data layers following best practices.
• Define and implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks using dbt, Airflow, or equivalent tools.
• Migrate existing ETL pipelines and data workloads from on-premise or legacy systems (e.g., Fiserv, CardWorks, PCFS).
• Implement security, compliance, and monitoring (RBAC, masking, lineage, cost tracking).
• Collaborate with teams to ensure PCI DSS, SOX, and GLBA compliance.
• Set up data quality validation rules, audit controls, and performance tuning.
• Mentor engineers and analysts on Snowflake optimization and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8–12 years of experience in data architecture; 3–5 years with Snowflake on Azure.
• Expertise designing multi-zone Snowflake architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Strong SQL, ELT, and data modeling (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault).
• Deep knowledge of Azure components – ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse, Key Vault.
• Experience in data governance, metadata management, and cost optimization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
