Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to support the development, testing, and maintenance of advanced low-noise electronic systems. Working closely with Electrical Engineers and other cross-functional teams, the technician will play a key role in prototyping, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting complex analog and mixed-signal electronic assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with the assembly, testing, and debugging of prototype and production-level circuit boards and electronic systems.
- Perform PCB bring-up, basic rework, component soldering (including SMD), and cable harnessing.
- Set up and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
- Support verification and validation testing of analog, mixed-signal, and low-noise measurement circuits.
- Document test results, support the creation of test procedures, and contribute to technical reports.
- Aid in compliance testing setups (EMC, safety, etc.) and support documentation as needed.
- Maintain lab organization, manage inventory of electronic components, and calibrate test instruments.
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Customer Service teams during product transitions and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
- 2 years of hands-on experience in an electronics lab or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, analog circuitry, and schematic reading.
- Familiarity with basic test instrumentation and measurement techniques.
- Proficient in soldering and rework techniques, including surface-mount components.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation such as schematics, datasheets, and wiring diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting low-noise or precision analog circuit development.
- Exposure to PCB layout tools and electronic design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle, OrCAD).
- Basic experience with test automation (e.g., using LabVIEW or Python) is a plus.
- Understanding of compliance standards (EMC, safety) and test procedures.
