Position Summary
The Medication Technician (Med Passer) is responsible for safely administering medications and assisting residents with daily living needs under the supervision of a licensed nurse or administrator. This role plays an essential part in maintaining the health, comfort, and dignity of each resident while supporting a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately administer medications in accordance with DHS 83/89 regulations and physician orders.
- Document medication administration, refusals, and any noted changes in resident condition.
- Communicate promptly with nursing and leadership regarding resident needs or medication concerns.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility, as needed.
- Monitor residents for changes in health status and report immediately to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts and storage areas.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Completion of CBRF Medication Administration course
- Prior caregiving or medication administration experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Must pass caregiver background check per Wisconsin requirements.

Pay is based on experience and certifications

Pay: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour
