Regional Dean of Academic Affairs (Central FL Campuses)

NUC University
Orlando, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 7/6/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/29/2026

The Regional Dean of Academic Affairs – U.S. Operations is a senior academic leader who operates centrally to ensure consistent, high-quality academic delivery across all Florida campuses, academic units, and online programs under the U.S. regional umbrella. This position bridges enterprise academic strategy and campus-level execution by directly supporting Campus Deans of Academic Affairs in all areas of academic operations, faculty management, curriculum integrity, retention, and student outcomes.  The Regional ensures academic activities are tightly coordinated with the enterprise retention framework, early-alert compliance, and institutional KPIs. This is a central support role – not a campus-based position – designed to elevate consistency, accountability, and academic excellence across all U.S. campuses simultaneously.

The Regional Dean holds direct accountability for regional academic outcomes, including retention rates, attrition, student experience, program completion, placement, and licensure and certification performance, and is empowered to drive corrective action when campus performance falls below established benchmarks.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree required in Higher Education Administration, Academic Affairs, Education, or a closely related field from institutions accredited by regional or national accrediting bodies approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Official transcripts required.

  • 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in academic affairs for higher education operations, or a dean/director-level academic role.

  • Demonstrated success supporting or leading academic operations across multiple campuses or modalities.

  • Proven experience implementing retention frameworks, SAP compliance, early-alert systems, and student intervention programs.

  • Experience managing faculty performance, conducting classroom observations, and leading faculty development programs.

  • Experience with program certifications, licensure exam oversight, and accreditation compliance.

  • Technical Acumen: Proficiency with LMS platforms (Canvas or equivalent), SIS systems (Anthology, or equivalent), and CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent). Experience with CIS retention workflow platforms, early-alert systems, and institutional data dashboards.

    • Strong data literacy; ability to interpret dashboard data, generate insights, and drive data-informed academic decisions.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, or equivalent).

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Outcomes Accountability - Holds direct accountability for regional academic outcomes: retention rates, term-over-term attrition, student experience quality, program completion, career placement rates, and certification and licensure pass rates across U.S. campuses.

Academic Operations & Campus Support - Serves as the central academic resource for Campus Deans of Academic Affairs across all U.S. campuses, providing direct operational support, guidance, and escalation resolution.

Retention Framework & Early-Alert Execution - Implements the enterprise retention framework consistently across assigned U.S. campuses, ensuring Campus Deans and program-level staff execute early-alert and intervention workflows within established SLAs.

Faculty Management & Development - Participates in faculty recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes at U.S. campuses, ensuring instructors meet institutional and accreditation credentialing standards.

Compliance, Accreditation & Standards - Ensures program operations, personnel, facilities, and curriculum comply with applicable state regulations, accreditation bodies, and programmatic regulatory requirements.

Systems & Data Utilization - Serves as a regional champion for CIS, LMS (Canvas/equivalent), SIS (Colleague/Anthology/equivalent), and CRM platform utilization; ensures campus academic staff use these systems consistently and accurately
