Essential Functions:
Responsible for designing/creating/maintaining technical and knowledge-based documentation including but not limited to:
- Knowledge Repository (Cherwell)
- Process/Procedure Documents
- Online Help
- User guides
- White papers
- Requirements documents
- Use cases
- Documentation of items escalated to OIG Tier III and Engineering personnel
The Technical Writer must also create an effective working relationship with the COR, COTRs, Engineers, and CIO management team.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, including experience with IT documentation
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize written technical guidance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Experience compiling training materials, for verbal presentations and written guides
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability and patience to pay attention to detail
