Job Summary:
The IT Equipment Mover will be responsible for the secure and efficient transport, relocation, and setup of a variety of IT hardware across WMATA facilities in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia metro areas. This role includes both the physical handling of technology assets and the operation of moving vehicles, ensuring that equipment is delivered safely and installed according to specifications.

Job Summary:
The IT Equipment Mover will be responsible for the secure and efficient transport, relocation, and setup of a variety of IT hardware across WMATA facilities in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia metro areas. This role includes both the physical handling of technology assets and the operation of moving vehicles, ensuring that equipment is delivered safely and installed according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load, unload, and transport IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, servers, monitors, and audiovisual gear.
- Prepare items for transit using wrapping, padding, and packing materials.
- Operate moving trucks and vehicles between various WMATA facilities, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Assist with packing and unpacking, ensuring equipment integrity.
- Deliver and set up IT equipment at designated sites.
- Maintain records of deliveries, routes, and completed moves.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy IT equipment and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Punctual, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Experience moving sensitive technology equipment is preferred but not required.
