Role Description The Title Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Rutherford, NJ, responsible for supporting all aspects of the title and closing process. Day-to-day tasks include opening new title orders, gathering and reviewing documentation, coordinating with lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and clients, and ensuring all title requirements are met before closing. The role involves preparing and updating files, scheduling closings, tracking progress, and resolving routine issues to help transactions move smoothly and on time. The Title Coordinator maintains accurate records, handles inbound and outbound communications, and provides courteous support to clients and partners. This position also assists with post-closing follow-up, filing, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Demonstrated Customer Service abilities, with a focus on professionalism, responsiveness, and client-centered support.
- Knowledge of Title Insurance processes and terminology, or a willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area.
- Experience with Training or mentoring in an office or real estate environment, or readiness to participate in ongoing training programs.
- Ability to manage sensitive information and apply sound judgment in matters related to client files and conduct, including basic Student Conduct or compliance-type familiarity.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., email, document management, spreadsheets) and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience in title, real estate, mortgage, or legal administrative support is preferred but not required.
