As the Engineering Manager, you are the operational heartbeat of our Engineering Domain. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of elite designers and technicians as they tackle the most complex challenges in Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave engineering. From ruggedized tactical systems for the US Military to radiation-hardened payloads for the next generation of space exploration, your leadership ensures that our technical vision becomes a high-performance reality.

Why NuWaves?

We offer a high-impact leadership platform where your management expertise meets cutting-edge innovation. At NuWaves, you will find:

The Role: Mentor, Strategize, Execute

We are looking for a results-driven leader who understands that elite engineering requires elite management. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the domain, ensuring our teams are optimized, motivated, and delivering world-class solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Cultivate Elite Talent: Manage the full employee lifecycle—from interviewing and hiring to coaching and performance appraisals—ensuring every team member is aligned with NuWaves’ high-performance culture.
  • Optimize the Engine: Drive new thoughts in engineering approach, processes, and methods to increase productivity, lower costs, and ensure higher-quality solutions are delivered on time.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Success: Facilitate decision-making and resolve conflicts across domains, working closely with Project Managers to ensure engineering resources are perfectly aligned with mission requirements.
  • Champion Technical Excellence: Chair design reviews, lead technical work sessions, and train the team on industry best practices and internal procedures.
  • Support the Mission Pipeline: Assist in the Bid and Proposal (B&P) process by providing expert cost estimates, technical writing, and detailed engineering solutions for high-value Defense and Space projects.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Interact with potential clients to conduct project feasibility and develop the technical trust necessary to win high-value development contracts.

What You Bring to the Table

  • The Leader’s Edge: 8 years of Engineering and/or Systems experience, with a proven track record of supervising technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Foundation: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
  • Business Acumen: You understand the intersection of engineering excellence and business results, with a focus on performance management and results-driven leadership.
  • Communication Mastery: Whether writing a white paper for a DoD briefing or conducting an employee appraisal, your communication is clear, authoritative, and inspiring.

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment that supports the US Military and Space exploration.
