About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY The Roux Institute’s Venture Creation and Acceleration platform supports high-growth ventures and founders that have the potential to fundamentally alter the way we live and work for the better. As part of our mission to catalyze and grow the Clean Energy sector in Maine, we have partnered with the Governor’s Energy Office to launch the state’s first Climate Incubator, located on the Roux Institute’s state-of-the-art campus in Portland, Maine. The incubator will focus support on startups that are harnessing the power of AI and Data Science to solve our world’s most pressing climate challenges. The Senior Program Manager, Climate & AI Incubator will be responsible for working with the Director to turn the bold vision we have outlined into a thriving and world-class incubator for clean energy companies. You will work closely with our partners to manage a suite of services, programming, and equipment that align with the needs of Clean Energy start-ups. You will assist in company recruitment, ensuring we have high levels of membership in the incubator as well as strong company retention. You will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day of the Incubator runs smoothly. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: Background in Clean Energy and/or Artificial Intelligence preferred Bachelors Degree, Advanced Degree Preferred. Unwavering attention to detail, with exceptional project management skills Understanding of the start-up ecosystem and the challenges faced by early-stage companies. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to design engaging programs and activities. Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Event Operations 30% Coordinate on the execution of weekly events with partners as well as ad-hoc events that include but aren’t limited to workshops, speaker series, and conferences. Marketing and Recruitment 30% Support the marketing and recruitment of the program to ensure full utilization of the program. This includes attracting companies, investors, and strategic partners to the incubator. Member Engagement 30% Develop strong relationships with all members of the Incubator and be the “go-to” for any opportunities, questions, or concerns with the members of the incubator. Reporting & Optimizations 10% Manage all aspects of reporting required for successful delivery of program and the grant that funds the work. Consistent evaluation of how to improve and optimize. Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 109S Expected Hiring Range: $66,850.00 - $94,427.50 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
