We’re currently seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering projects of the highest standard.

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Superintendent to manage a wide range of commercial construction projects in the Ventura County area. Projects may include new construction, tenant improvements, interior remodels, tilt-ups, and other complex commercial builds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead on-site construction activities across multiple projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and field staff.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control, compliance, and safety standards are upheld.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project goals.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee resource allocation, subcontractor scheduling, and material procurement.
• Conduct regular progress and coordination meetings with team members and stakeholders.
• Review and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
• Monitor budgets, track costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency without compromising quality.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, safety reports, and job documentation.

Qualifications

Experience & Background

• Minimum 10 years in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple job sites and lead diverse teams.
• Experience with complex commercial projects from ground-up to completion.
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and local building codes.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Education & Certifications

• OSHA 30-hour or equivalent safety certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical site duties (standing, walking, climbing, etc.).
• Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Schedule & Compensation

• Job Type: Full-time, on-site
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, weekends as needed
