Dental Lab Exocad Designer

Job Summary:  Digital Dentistry Exocad Designer  

The Digital Dentistry Exocad Designer works in the dental lab designing and fabricating high quality implant retained prosthetics as ordered by the provider.  This position is for a progressive dental lab with a high volume of implant retained dentures. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• The Digital All on X Designer will work under the supervision of the Lab Manager, primarily focusing full mouth rehabilitation and digital All-on-X procedures, designing and fabricating dental prosthetics using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CADCAM / EXOCAD) software 

• •This technician will be responsible for creating custom dental restorations that meet the oral surgeon's specifications for the All-on-X treatment concept 

• •This position also requires an individual with advanced knowledge and skillsets in dental technology to work independently with little supervision 

• •Use EXOCAD software to design dental prosthetics, including full arch implant-supported bridges, based on digital scans of patient's teeth and gums for the All-on-X treatment concept 

• •Fabricate restorations that meet the necessary standards of fit, function, and aesthetics 

• •Collaborate with other members of the team and customers, including oral surgeons, dentists and dental assistants, to ensure that all patient needs are met 

• •Perform quality control checks on designs to ensure that they meet the necessary standards 

• •Be able to effectively read dental RXs to design dental prosthetics 

• •Work collaboratively with other dental technicians to ensure timely completion of cases 

• •Perform other duties as may be required or necessary 

• Assist other members of the team as needed. 

• Other tasks as assigned during production downtime. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

• Knowledge of fabricating dental restorations, including all-on-X cases using CAD/CAM technology 

• Very experienced using EXOCAD software to design dental prosthetics for the All-on-X treatment  

• •Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions 

• •Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment 

• •Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 

• •Knowledge of dental anatomy, materials science, and occlusion 

• •Ability to interpret and follow dental prescriptions and technical specifications 

• •Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with oral surgeons, dentists and other dental professionals 

• •To understand teeth setup, anatomy and morphology 

Education and Experience 

• Highschool diploma required. 

• Dental Lab Tech Certification per State Guidelines required or prior equivalent experience 

• Additional clinical certifications and/or expanded functions preferred  

• 3 years of prior lab experience required.  

• Fluent in English required and Spanish as second language is a plus 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer or other desktop equipment.  

• Ability to move within the lab as needed for fabrication, cleaning, and meetings. 

• Ability to lift to 0-25 pounds if necessary.
