NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking an Internal Auditor for our Columbus, Indiana operations. Someone with a production, administrative, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or related background who has participated in IATF 16949 audits and documentation would be an ideal fit.
NTN has 1600 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler, and most other automotive OEMs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•IATF-16949 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Internal Auditing
•ISO-14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Internal Auditing
•Conducts audits of departments/processes at NDI
•Audits/interviews staff and personnel within the company
•Creates and issues monthly departmental audit schedules - based on an overall three-year audit plan
•Executes Internal Audits per the audit schedules.
•Takes detailed audit notes such that sufficient objective evidence of process conformance (or non-conformance) is effectively recorded as audit records.
•Generates monthly audit reports
•Creates and issues corrective actions (CARs) for any non-conformances.
•Reviews and judges the Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action implementation, and effectiveness of those actions for all CARS.
•Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Three or more years of relevant automotive auditing experience with an understanding of the ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 requirements and the automotive process approach for auditing is preferred.
• The ability to read, understand, and apply customer-specific Quality Manual requirements, NTN procedures, and work instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively interview auditees, and the ability to record detailed audit notes.
• Basic knowledge of the quality “core tools” (i.e., FMEA, APQP, VDA/AIAG-PPAP, SPC, MSA) is preferred.
• Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience in production manufacturing.
