Grinder 2nd shift Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load/unload in tumbler machine.
• Run Tumbler machine.
• Unload and move material to the next process.
• Machine maintenance.
• Crane operation & daily check (tumbler).
• Use hand jack and forklift
• Use barcode for completions.
• Crane operation & daily check (grinding. 1Ton).
• Load material (800 Kg).
• Start main coolant system.
• Turn on machine coolant.
• Startup machine.
• Quality check (measure using dial gauge).
• Fill out daily report.
• Tooling change (plate, wheel, comb, in chute, out chute).
• Maintenance: check hydraulic system, lube oil, dresser unit.
• Machine trouble shooting.
• 5S/3D: Pick up dropped parts, clean oil leaks.
• Lapping (L23). Coolant tank clean up.
• Brush washer machine: operation, maintenance (oil/filter, change, clean and fill oil tank.
• Material Handling-washer to conveyor.
• Mix L23 oil.
• Dresser body adjustment: wheel/plate depth check, change diamond.
• Separate material.
• Run three lines plus washer per person.

Competencies:

Read and measure using gauges, following quality standards & work instructions. Understand basic production processes & knowledge of basic machine operation.

Education and or Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Competent in reading and writing English.

Proficient in basic arithmetic.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems as they apply to production machinery.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses are required in all production areas. Hearing protection is mandatory throughout the plant.
