NTN has an immediate opening in our Sales Department for a Industrial Aftermarket Territory Manager in our Reno, Nevada-California region.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Territory Manager manages a defined geographic territory consisting of NTN Authorized Distributors. The role would include working with the distributor’s sale force regarding the promotion of NTN Products as well as developing strong relationships with end-users to promote the NTN brand and empower customers to change buying habits.
Key responsibilities include building and fostering strong customer relationships, maintaining customer relationships where they already exist, meeting sales targets, and ensuring efficient sales operations for the respective territory. The Territory Manager is expected to build a strong technical aptitude to better address customer concerns, identify sales opportunities, and analyze data. CRM experience is preferable.
Value Selling
- Successfully utilize and implement a solution-based sales approach that seeks to educate both distributors and end user customers by providing insights into industry’s best practices and that showcase NTN's value-added products and commitment to generating cost savings.
- Assist existing and potential direct distributor customers in the stocking, marketing and policy administration of NBCA products and services to the Industrial consumer. This would include making product training available, product marketing and direct sales assistance for the direct distributor customer. This activity will consume 35% of direct call activity.
- Directly market NBCA products and brands to a targeted consumer market. This will include direct calls on various end-user customers and their MRO departments with the goal of establishing a brand preference by the consumer to pull sales through the distribution channel. This activity will consume 65% of direct call activity.
- Communicate activity and program requirements to NBCA management using online call reports as well as weekly reports that summarize potential business opportunities, activity, follow up and any requirements for supporting activity from NBCA departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSME or similar 4-year technical undergraduate degree in a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Power Transmission and Industrial Distribution, Sales.
- Strong aptitude for mechanical applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point and access.
- Self-starter, ability to learn quickly. Outstanding organization and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of CRM programs a plus (Sales Force preferred).
- Knowledge of rolling element bearing application and design.
- The ability to travel overnight 50% of the time.
