We are looking to add a Production Manager to our KC Operations Team. As a Production Manager, you will take on several different roles :
- Pre-Show production planning
- Show site responsibilities
- Post-show wrap up
You will report directly to KC GM. Position does require being onsite full time plus the ability to travel to various shows.
What You'll Do :
Support the account management team as the primary operations point of contact; responding to and coordinating the delivery of client requests.Collaborate with other operational departments, warehouse and office personnel to ensure smooth and reliable delivery of all client requests.Interaction with internal departments and ethe client on all matters related to the delivery of servicesGather information from clients or the account management team, organizing the information, assuring the materials and labor are available and managing labor to complete the event.Build relationships with the workforce, facility and vendor representatives that lead to efficient operations.Maintain an ongoing understanding of the costs (labor, materials, equipment, etc.) associated with production of events to assist with creating accurately priced and planned client proposals.Participate in event production planning activities to sustain your understanding of the company's directives and resources.Interface with co-workers and clients for the purpose of ensuring that client requests for information and services are fulfilled in a prompt and professional manner.Maintain proficiencies in Microsoft Word; Excel; and other technology you may be requested to utilize in the course of your duties as Production Manager.Perform budgeting, and scheduling, associated with accounts assigned to you.PRE-SHOWING PLANNING :
Communicate with the account management team to ensure all needs for the event are understoodCreation of material / equipment needs for the showEstablish manpower needs and daily schedule for the event On Site Production :Organize workflow for labor crew to ensure all timing needs / deadlines are met (marking the show floor, booth set up, registration, freight handling, show dismantle, load out, etc.)Assist with developing detailed production schedules, outlining key milestones, staffing needs, and load lists.Produce & Maintain Show Books, Management Tickets, Floor Plans, Graphics, Structure Line DrawingsSHOW SITE RESPONSBILITIES :
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for operationsLead and manage the on-site production team, including crew supervisors and union laborOversee the full setup of tradeshow exhibits, including booth installation, signage, and materialsMaintain daily record of onsite labor usageEnsure superior quality of workmanship and professionalism is maintainedRecord material and labor usage for each project completedMaintain contact with the account management team so adjustments in material needs and schedule are accommodatedTroubleshoot onsite problems / issues as they arisePOST-SHOW ACTIVITIES :
Formalize material and timing reports for billing purposesCreate a 'Production Notes' file to document any observations or ideas on improving production of the event in the futureFollow up with the account management team to make sure all client expectations were metWho You Are :
