Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Advisor on a contract basis to provide guidance and support for Gulf of America offshore projects. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations and serves as a liaison with BSEE, BOEM, and USCG.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regulatory guidance to engineering, operations, and project teams during all project phases (concept, FEED, execution).
- Serve as liaison with BSEE, BOEM, and USCG for projects as needed.
- Prepare and file permits, including structural applications, DWOPs/SDWOPs, life extension, and pipeline applications.
- Track regulatory deliverables and ensure permit compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on operations.
- Develop permitting workflows, templates, and best practices.
- Assist with training materials for asset and operational teams.
- Represent the company in industry organizations and workgroups.
- Provide on-call support, including weekends, for project-related regulatory needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 10 years in upstream oil & gas, offshore experience required.
- Strong knowledge of BSEE, BOEM, USCG regulations, ABS rules, and industry standards (API, ASME).
- Experience with deepwater projects, floating production systems, subsea pipelines, and offshore structures.
- PE license or advanced degree preferred; T2 training preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
