Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, networking concepts, and excellent communication skills to assist users effectively.
Duties
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, and Mac OS.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve user inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and firewall systems.
- Utilize ticketing systems to track issues and document resolutions.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical problems and provide clear solutions.
- Perform regular system checks to ensure optimal performance and security of IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for both in office and onsite customer locations.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement upgrades and improvements to existing systems.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation required
- Experience in providing technical support in an IT environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with LAN setup and firewall configurations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
