• This is a onsite schedule at Kennett Square, PA (preferred), but can be local to an Exelon territory in Baltimore, MD, Chicago/Oakbrook Terrace, IL, Joliet, IL, Philadelphia, PA (MOB), or Washington D.C.(any Exelon location)

Overview

• Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to support critical infrastructure operations, specifically focusing on RTSS and Backhaul/Mesh Ops. This individual will serve as a highly experienced professional responsible for leading and managing complex engineering projects while providing deep technical expertise in virtualization and storage environments. The successful candidate will ensure the stability and innovation of advanced systems, driving research, development, and standard compliance across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, and coordination.
• Design, develop, and test advanced products, systems, and structures to solve complex engineering problems.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams while mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
• Review and approve engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluate and select materials and equipment for projects to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other senior engineers, professionals, and stakeholders on cross-functional project teams.
• Stay current with advancements in engineering technology and practices to drive continuous innovation

Required Skills & Experience

• BA/BS degree minimum.
• 7 years of experience with VMware engineering and operations in an enterprise environment. Note: Candidates without higher education must possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive technical proficiency in vCenter, Aria, and NetApp SAN administration.
• Hands-on experience with NVMe over FC, NetApp AQUIM administration, Cisco MDS, and Zoning.
• Strong understanding of CIFS and core networking fundamentals.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities, excellent collaborative skills for stakeholder engagement, and a strong aptitude for mentoring junior technical staff

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9).
• Previous experience in large-scale enterprise environments managing high-availability infrastructure.
