Senior Performance Tester

Terms of Employment:
Contract, 6 Months (Likely Extension)
This position is primarily remote. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Reston, VA once or twice per month.
Candidates based in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, or North Carolina are strictly being considered.
Candidates based outside of a reasonable commutable distance to Reston, VA will not be reimbursed for travel.
Candidates must be comfortable coming onsite for a final round, in-person interview.

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Performance Tester to join a dedicated team ensuring the scalability and reliability of critical enterprise applications. This is a "hands-on" technical role for a practitioner who loves scripting, executing, and analyzing tests. You will play a pivotal role in a major initiative to migrate applications to an AWS cloud environment, utilizing a modern toolstack including Tricentis NeoLoad and Datadog. You will
Design, develop, and maintain automated performance test scripts using OpenText LoadRunner and Tricentis NeoLoad.
Execute load, stress, and scalability tests to ensure application stability during cloud migration.
Analyze performance results deeply to identify bottlenecks, using monitoring tools like Datadog to pinpoint root causes.
Collaborate directly with development and systems teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance defects.
Migrate legacy performance scripts from LoadRunner to NeoLoad.

Required Qualifications:
5 years of performance testing experience with a heavy emphasis on hands-on scripting (not just execution).
Demonstrable experience with Tricentis NeoLoad and OpenText LoadRunner.
Experience using performance monitoring tools, specifically Datadog (highly preferred) or AppDynamics.
Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data creation and validation.
Must be willing to interview in-person for the final round and work onsite two days per month.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performance testing in an AWS cloud environment.
Proven experience migrating test assets from LoadRunner to NeoLoad.
Background in the healthcare or insurance industry.
