Entry-Level Engineer/Scientist – Radar Systems & Software Development
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division is seeking entry-level Engineers and Scientists to support advanced radar system development, testing, and software engineering efforts for U.S. Navy mission systems.
This position is ideal for candidates interested in radar systems, software development, sensors, data analysis, system testing, and real-world engineering problem solving in a collaborative research and development environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of radar and sensor systems
- Assist engineers and scientists with research, development, and analysis activities
- Analyze technical data, test results, and engineering documentation
- Help develop software tools, interfaces, and graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
- Contribute to software and model development using languages such as Python, C , Java, or MATLAB
- Support integration efforts between hardware and software systems
- Participate in laboratory testing, system evaluations, and technical problem solving
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, technicians, and military personnel on technical projects
- Assist with technical presentations, reports, and briefings for project teams and leadership

Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, physics, applied mathematics, data science.
