Nspire Tours is looking for a reliable Part-Time Fleet Mechanic to help maintain our growing fleet of motorcoaches, mid-size buses, and shuttle vehicles. We operate a busy transportation company serving schools, sports teams, weddings, corporate groups, tours, airport transfers, and private charters throughout the Northwest. Safety and reliability are a top priority, and we are looking for someone who can help keep our fleet running smoothly.
Responsibilities
The Part-Time Fleet Mechanic will assist with general maintenance and repairs on commercial passenger vehicles, including:
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical issues
- Checking brakes, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, batteries, lights, and safety equipment
- Assisting with minor electrical, air system, cooling system, and suspension repairs
- Preparing vehicles for DOT inspections
- Keeping maintenance records organized
- Communicating needed repairs and safety concerns with management
- Helping ensure buses are clean, safe, and ready for scheduled trips
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic, diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy-duty vehicle technician preferred
- Experience with buses, motorcoaches, trucks, or commercial vehicles is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform general mechanical repairs
- Must be dependable, organized, and safety-minded
- Must have your own basic tools
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- CDL is a plus but not required
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Schedule may vary depending on fleet needs, trip schedules, and maintenance priorities.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
