Duties
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and physical condition; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
- Provide medication reminders and support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Help prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Support patients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong understanding of autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on providing direct support that respects each individual’s dignity and preferences
