The Product Engineer A Role
Provides advanced technical knowledge and analytical support through primary responsibility for establishing the product design, specifications, as well as conducting investigations and performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Understands and negotiates customer technical requirements
- Generate bearing designs to meet customer technical requirements and specifications
- Create and evaluate bearing designs using CAD/CAE tools and software
- Develops and maintains technical relationships with customers
- Presents NSK technology and project recommendations to customers
- Works with customers to identify new project opportunities
- Coordinates customer test support and test return analysis
- Prepares and presents all customer technical communication and documentation
- Prepares design documents (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Drawings)
- Obtains technical approval for process changes for activities such as VA/VE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience required; 6–8 years preferred.
- Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is preferred.
