Provides a supervisory function that ensures compliance with customer requirements and company policy. Supervises the activities in the Traffic Department to ensure a positive contribution to the success of the company.
Activities & Responsibilities
- Routing and carrier selection for Plainfield D.C. outbound shipments to customers.
- Coordinates NSK cross dock operations.
- Works with customer service and manufacturing to coordinate requirement and expedite shipments.
- Coordinates import/export transportation activities and support to transportation supervisor (where applicable).
- Provides support as needed to the Trade Compliance Department.
- Ensures a safe working environment.
- Maintains and monitors for adherence to work instructions: ensures compliance to company procedures and policies.
- Ensures timely traffic department communication to all other departments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 4-6 years of position-related experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Technical Diploma or Associates Degree
- 6-8 years of position-related experience.
