What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at NSJ Energy Services LLC?
Duties
- Operate equipment such as dozers, excavators, telehandlers, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure safety standards are met and perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols diligently during equipment operation to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Assist with site preparation, material loading/unloading, and site cleanup to maintain smooth workflow
- Oversee & collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively while adhering to project timelines and quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, telehandlers and similar machinery
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and efficiently
- Construction site and oil & gas experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and operational protocols
- Environmental controls, slip repair and fencing experience
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be dependable
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
