Role Description
We are seeking a Right-of-Way Agent for a full-time contract role based on-site in Collinsville, IL- located 15 miles East of St. Louis, MO. The Right-of-Way Agent will be responsible for handling all aspects of ROW Ops support within this geographic area; the work will be based out of the Ops office with travel, when needed. Daily responsibilities include negotiating and maintaining relationships with landowners, obtaining easements, permits, and other property interests, conducting property and title research, managing project records, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- MUST live in close proximity to Collinsville, IL or willing to relocate long-term.
- Experience in right-of-way acquisition, property negotiations, and securing easements
- Proficiency in title research, title abstracting, land records, and understanding property laws
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution with property owners and stakeholders
- Ability to interpret contracts, legal documents, and perform due diligence activities
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting regulations related to land services
- Project management skills, including meeting deadlines and managing multiple workflows
- Proficiency in using software tools for data management and documentation
- Required: Experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects; relevant certification (IRWA or equivalent is a plus).
