What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operators position at NSI INDUSTRIES?
We are seeking to fill Machine Operators on 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am) at our Odessa, FL location.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily tasks required to maintain consistent production flow.
- Meet or exceed production times within acceptable performance standards.
- Adapt to process changes and learn new skills as needed.
- Identify, separate, and remove sub‑standard or rejected connectors according to quality standards.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and enter data into the MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure proper tool care.
- Stay focused on assigned tasks and use work time efficiently.
- Lift and carry up to 35 lbs and stand for the duration of a typical 8 hour shift.
Job Requirements
- Read, understand, and follow job instructions in English,
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Ability to use proper tooling and components associated with machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection and defect separation.
- Basic computer/data entry skills for MES input.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Physical ability to lift 35 lbs and remain standing for entire shift.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and support continuous improvement.
