Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance / Data Quality Engineer to support the design and implementation of data governance, data quality, and lineage solutions using Collibra and Azure-based platforms.
This role will work closely with Data Strategy, Business, and Data Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, governed, and trusted data across key domains such as Reference data, Market data and Operational data.
Role Objectives
- Support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives across critical data domains
- Implement and enhance Collibra-based governance and DQ capabilities
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and metadata management are embedded into the data platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, governed data solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data quality rules using Collibra DQ
- Implement and manage data governance assets (business glossary, data catalog, stewardship workflows)
- Support data lineage mapping across systems and pipelines
- Perform data profiling, validation, and issue analysis using SQL
- Integrate Collibra with Azure data platform (ADF, Databricks, Data Lake)
- Develop automation and utilities using Python or similar languages
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Engineers to define and enforce DQ controls
- Ensure code promotion using CI/CD, version control (Git), and deployment best practices
- Maintain documentation and governance artifacts in tools like Confluence and repositories
- Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes and market data are a plus.
