Drive the full-cycle recruitment and placement of highly skilled maritime professionals supporting NSC's Marine Division. Build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers while identifying, attracting, and placing top marine talent to meet business objectives. Serve as a trusted recruiting partner by delivering an exceptional candidate experience and ensuring the timely placement of qualified professionals across a variety of maritime roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for marine and maritime positions, from sourcing through onboarding.
- Develop and execute innovative recruiting strategies to attract qualified maritime professionals in a competitive talent market.
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, industry associations, and other recruiting channels.
- Create, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms to maximize candidate reach.
- Screen resumes, conduct candidate interviews, and evaluate qualifications based on job requirements and organizational needs.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers while ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.
- Facilitate and participate in interviews with managers, directors, and other key stakeholders.
- Guide candidates through the hiring process, providing timely communication and maintaining a high level of engagement.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and Human Resources to develop competitive offers, including compensation recommendations, start dates, and other employment details.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified marine professionals for current and future hiring needs.
- Represent NSC professionally at career fairs, industry events, networking functions, and recruiting initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to candidates, employees, and clients through phone, email, virtual, and in-person communication.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and recruiting best practices throughout the hiring process.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, customer service, sales, call center operations, insurance, or a skilled trade environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience sourcing candidates through multiple recruiting platforms and networking channels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
- Maritime, marine, industrial, skilled trades, or blue-collar recruiting experience is preferred but not required.
