Pay: $30.00/hour D.O.E.
Per diem: $125 per day worked

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Core Focus: Rapid response to high-frequency, frontline floor issues. This person handles the daily "firefighting"—clearing minor jams, swapping out failed sensors, and executing quick mechanical and fabrication fixes to keep the lines running without pulling your specialized controls or robotics techs away from deep project work.

• Minor Fabrication & Welding: Capable of handling on-the-spot modifications and quick floor repairs. This includes using MIG/TIG or stick welders to repair cracked equipment guards, weld basic brackets, fabricate simple part chutes, and cut or grind steel stock to modify conveyor guide rails.
• Frontline Troubleshooting: Fast diagnosis of recurring minor stops. This includes clearing part jams in compaction or sizing press grippers, replacing frayed proximity sensor cables, and adjusting mechanical alignment rails.
• Minor Electrical & Sensor Maintenance: Swapping out standard 24VDC components like inductive proximity switches, photo-eyes, limit switches, and solenoid valves. They can safely verify the presence of voltage using a digital multimeter before swapping components.
• General Mechanical Repair: Replacing pneumatic cylinders, rebuilding basic air valve manifolds, replacing worn belts or chains, and maintaining lubrication systems on heavy equipment like sintering furnace drives.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM) Support: Performing routine PM inspections, checking oil levels on hydraulic power units, inspecting deburr brush wear, and looking for early signs of mechanical fatigue.
• Target Profile: A high-energy, versatile "jack-of-all-trades" who thrives on the shop floor. Look for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, basic welding/shop tool skills, electrical safety awareness, and a proactive mindset who knows exactly when a quick fix will work—and when an issue needs to be escalated to the controls or robotics specialists.

Education and/or Experience:

• 3-5 years related experience in automated manufacturing environments; Firm understanding of robotics, PLC programming, and part handling required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ladder logic written, technical procedures, or govenment regulations.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Previous experience in automotive industry a plus.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standarization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

Proper safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required on the plant floor.
