We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Long-Term Care (LTC) experience for a contract assignment in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech-language pathology services while working collaboratively with patients, medical staff, and facility teams.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working within LTC environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Licensure
Graduate of a college or university accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association, with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current New York State (NYS) license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Eligible for or currently holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
Clinical Experience
Mandatory experience in Long-Term Care (LTC)
Strong assessment skills to determine accurate prognosis and guide patients toward achieving their maximum potential
Technical & System Skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Experience using Epic / EMR systems
Working knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and facility personnel
Additional Notes
LTC experience is mandatory
Travel may be required within a 75-mile radius
