We are looking to add an experienced, highly motivated, and energetic Project Engineer to join our team who strives to ensure that all tasks are successfully accomplished within time.

Primary Responsibilities

Create ACAD generated site-specific engineering drawings that capture all aspects of a vehicle wash system. This will include equipment layouts, electrical, plumbing, slab, and control drawings. BIM modeling experience is preferred. A firm understanding of pumping systems with the ability to calculate NPSHA, suction and discharge velocities, pipe sizing, pressure drop, and other relevant calculations. Practical experience with Pipe Flow Expert software is a plus. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Education and Experience Background:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ similar discipline or equivalent work experience/ training highly preferred. In addition to an Engineering degree, preference is given to individuals with previous work experience in construction, electrical design, mechanical design, and technical fieldwork or project management.
Job Duties:
· Create site-specific engineering drawings for vehicle wash systems in ACAD, which completely capture all aspects of the design-build process.

· Assures product quality by designing mechanical testing methods, testing finished products and system capabilities.

· Provides engineering support by answering questions and requests from Customers and Technicians in the field.

· Maintains product database and cut sheets to ensure that correct wash layouts are depicted and the associated manuals are accurate.

· Evaluates mechanical control systems, products, components, and applications by investigating and conducting research; applying knowledge learned from this research into future wash designs.

· Ability to apply engineering methods (computer modeling, mechanics of materials, tolerance analysis, data analysis, experimental methods, etc.) to assess performance, manufacturability, reliability of components, products and overall systems (preferred).

· Develops manufacturing tooling which increases yield and decreases assembly time.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Must work well within team framework;

· Detail-oriented and quality-focused;

· Communicate effectively establishes positive working relationships;

· Structure tasks and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines and accomplish departmental goals;

· Ability to apply engineering methods (computer modeling, mechanics of materials, tolerance analysis, data analysis, experimental methods, etc.) to assess performance, manufacturability, reliability of components, products, and overall systems;

· Ability to recognize and communicate the impact of design, configuration, and other technical aspects of the organization to Customers, Distributors, and internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Accounting, etc.);

· AutoCAD Software experience (required);

· Solid Works Software (helpful);

· Familiarity with a wide-breadth of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing principles and systems (highly preferred);

· MS Office Suite;

· Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal;

· Ability to travel on occasion.
