The Sr. Accountant – Loan Accounting is responsible for the integrity of complex accounting by recording, reviewing, approving and consolidating transactions based on accounting rules and concepts (GAAP) and procedures for the Loan Accounting group.

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for loan related accounting functions including complex journal entries, advanced account reconciliations, reporting and monthly close duties for multiple lending organizations as well as a portfolio of syndicated loans.
- Perform high-level routines and queries within the loan database.
- Responsible loan related servicing and sub ledger functions including detailed daily reconciliations.
- Responsible for tax-exempt bond and other guarantee invoicing and reporting.
- Adhere to loan accounting SOX 404 controls.
- Resolve complex commitment and loan related data issues within the loan accounting system.
- Responsible for responding to internal and external customer questions and requests including those of internal and external auditors.
- Preparation and/or review of loan accounting management and SEC reporting inlcuding 10-Q and 10-K disclosures.
- Accounting Records, Balancing (Ledger/Billing), Commercial Loan Documentation, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Accounting Software, Report Writing, Internal Controls, Invoicing, Loan Servicing, Process Improvement, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Compliance
- Critical Thinking, Interpersonal Communications, Time Management, Customer Service, Collaboration, Ethical Standards and Conduct
- CPA is strongly preferred.
