Field Service Technician

Role Description This full-time, on-site Field Service Technician role is based in Bristol, VA. The Field Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair NRT payment kiosks, ATMs, and related gaming and financial technology equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities include conducting regular preventive maintenance, diagnosing hardware and software issues, replacing components, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably. The role involves documenting service activities, maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with customers and internal teams, and following company procedures and regulatory requirements. The technician will travel locally to client sites as needed, manage spare parts and tools, and support occasional after-hours or weekend service calls to minimize downtime for customers.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical and mechanical skills, including experience with computer hardware, and basic networking.
• Candidates should possess troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to analyze issues, interpret error codes, and implement effective repairs or workarounds.
• Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly and maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.
• Candidates should possess time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize service calls, manage travel schedules, and maintain accurate service records.
• Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience in ATM, kiosk, or gaming technology service; familiarity with payment systems or POS devices; basic understanding of AML and compliance environments; and comfort working in casino or high-security settings.
• Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift and move equipment as needed, proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment, and willingness to work on-site in Bristol, VA with local travel.
• Education such as a technical diploma, associate’s degree in electronics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
