Our NRI RMS practice is currently seeking a Sr. level Microsoft consultant that possibly has their own LLC to support our client base on projects/engagements at as they arise - or AD-Hoc.

Location: Remote / Client Onsite as Needed within the Mid-Atlantic area

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Microsoft Consultant to support ongoing client project work across a variety of industries within the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a senior-level role requiring a well-rounded Microsoft technology expert who can both design and implement advanced technical solutions while also providing training and knowledge transfer to IT teams and business stakeholders.

This consultant will play a critical role in helping clients adopt, optimize, and maximize their Microsoft environments, ensuring both the technical execution and the business value of the solutions delivered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of Microsoft solutions, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and related technologies.
• Act as a trusted advisor for client IT departments, providing guidance on architecture, best practices, and system optimization.
• Deliver hands-on technical training to IT teams, enabling them to effectively manage, configure, and support Microsoft solutions.
• Provide business-level training to non-technical stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in clear, accessible language to support user adoption and maximize business impact.
• Conduct assessments of existing environments, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend tailored Microsoft solutions.
• Collaborate with client leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for ongoing project-based initiatives, from migrations and upgrades to new implementations.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and training guides for both technical and non-technical users.
• Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving product roadmap and bring forward innovative solutions to client challenges.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Active Directory, and related Microsoft platforms.
• Strong background in system architecture, migrations, integrations, and security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor IT professionals on technical implementation, configuration, and support.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms for non-technical stakeholders.
• Previous consulting or client-facing experience, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, etc.) strongly preferred.
