The Manager, Airtron Safety will assist in managing various aspects of the Airtron safety program including fostering employee involvement and understanding of safety program objectives. Monitor safety-related regulation development and regulation changes and initiate or update company policies, procedures and work practices as needed. Distribute safety-related information and corrective actions to institutionalize improvements. Support Airtron personnel in the development of safety procedures and work practices. Support safety assessments for Corporate and Plant Operations as needed.
Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and evaluate changes in applicable Occupational Safety & Health regulations, national consensus standards, and industry best practices to ensure Airtron policies, procedures, and work practices remain current
- Develop, review, and revise Airtron and Corporate Safety Manual policies
- Support and emphasize the importance of safety and health programs and promote regulatory compliance
- Assist Airtron personnel in fostering employee involvement and understanding of safety program objectives
- Work with personnel who have been designated as safety support individuals by business unit
- Assist in managing various aspects of the Safety program
- Provide guidance and support to Corporate and plant operations safety as requested
- Manage the development of safety notifications and bulletins
- Identify and develop company-wide corrective actions to ensure that safety incidents are not repeated, and ensure corrective actions institutionalize improvements
- Maintain Airtron safety statistics and related reports
- Initiate, assist in, and/or review incident investigations and safety inspections
- Prepare and/or review written reports
- Frequent travel should be expected - 50-75% nationwide
Knowledge/Skills
- Working knowledge of safety and health regulations and best practices
- Ability to perform comprehensive safety assessments
- Ability to work independently

- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals

- Effectively and efficiently manage challenging workload independently with support from others
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years experience in safety or industrial hygiene or HVAC
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to travel - nationwide 50-75%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in line management
- Practical experience in safety or industrial hygiene; Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Four-year undergraduate science or occupational safety and health degree
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
