POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Repair Technician who enjoys working with basic AC and DC circuits, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electronic test instruments, including detection and monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electronics aptitude and proficiency in using various hand tools.
Candidates with a personal interest or hobby in electronics, as well as retired individuals with relevant experience, are also encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble, inspect and test electronic instruments and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic malfunctions in equipment.
- Conduct routine inspection, cleaning, and upgrades of test and monitoring equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair instruments with precision and attention to detail.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and circuit schematics to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Perform installation, maintenance, service, repair, and decontamination of various types of electronic, mechanical, and detection instruments.
- Manage and track equipment scheduled for external calibration services, ensuring timely shipment and return.
- Maintain accurate repair logs and documentation
- Perform calibration of electronic instruments and testing equipment to manufacturers specifications (training will be provided)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate in Electronics Technology or Basic Electronics knowledge.
- Relevant experience in electronics repair, or a related technical field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Basic understanding of electronics, electrical theory, and applied mathematics.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while maintaining high-quality standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Salary Range
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
- Entry-level candidates with strong foundational skills in Electronics repair and a willingness to learn can expect offers starting at the lower end of the range.
- Experienced professionals with specialized expertise in electronics repair of detection instruments and quality systems compliance may be offered compensation toward the upper end.
Final compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and overall alignment with the role.
