NRD, LLC is seeking a Sr Program Manager to lead and drive technical programs from contract award through to final end delivery. The Sr Program Manager manages cross functional programs and initiatives, coordinating efforts across multiple teams and departments to drive strategics objectives, ensure alignment and delivery successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience managing programs or projects in defense, aerospace or within a highly engineered manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical programs from initiation to completion
- Lead and manage cross functional teams across disciplines including contracts, procurement, engineering, testing, operations, and quality to ensure alignment and successful program execution
- Lead program planning, scheduling and budgeting, oversee the efficient allocation of resources
- Use your technical background to interpret, validate, and ensure program requirements are clearly understood and met throughout the full program lifecycle
- Define and manage program scope, objectives, deliverables and collaborate with stakeholders
- Ensure effective communication and accountability across all stakeholders
- Review and manage program costs and technical risks, and present program status, including schedule performance and key metrics, during Program Management meetings.
- Drive timely decision making and maintain a strong sense of urgency to meet critical deadlines
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
- Minimum of 5 years of program management experience within a highly engineered manufacturing environment
- Must have experience managing complex production programs in design and manufacturing
- Experience leading cross functional teams in operations, supply chain, quality, engineering and production
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments
- Demonstrated knowledge in understanding contractual requirements and scope adherence
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred but not Mandatory
- PMI or PMP certification
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
Salary Range
$110,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Final compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and overall alignment with the role.
Citizenship Requirement
This position is restricted to U.S. citizens in compliance with federal regulations and contractual requirements. Candidates must be able to provide proof of citizenship and may be required to obtain a security clearance.
