Shipping & Receiving Supervisor - Direct Hire
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Compensation
Option 1: $100K–$115K 12.5% ACIP (No bachelor’s required)
Option 2: $120K–$130K 12.5% ACIP (Bachelor’s required)
Position Summary
Supervise and lead the shipping/receiving team, ensuring timely, accurate inbound/outbound material flow, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage manpower, scheduling, and daily shipping/receiving operations
- Maintain packaging supply inventory
- Resolve receipt discrepancies; coordinate with internal teams
- Train, coach, and develop team members
- Maintain shipping accuracy (pick/pack verification, barcoding, audits)
- Manage carrier bookings, freight modes, and expedite approvals
- Handle claims, returns, damage investigations
- Lead 5S/Kaizen and process improvements
- Ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare reports and operational metrics
Qualifications
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes (parcel, LTL, TL)
- Dangerous Goods experience a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Experience in aerospace/regulated industries preferred (DFARS/ITAR)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s required for higher salary tier
- Minimum 5 years shipping & receiving experience
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
