Job Title: Senior Test Technician
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 6 Months (Temp to Hire)
Shift: 5AM - 1:30PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Test Technician with 8 years of experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave, and RADAR compliance testing. The role involves evaluating, troubleshooting, and repairing production and customer-returned electronics, performing failure analysis, and supporting Quality and Engineering initiatives. Strong attention to detail and RF knowledge are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components, subsystems, and systems.
- Perform failure analysis and generate detailed reports.
- Conduct Environmental, Vibration, Shock, and Acceleration testing to MIL standards.
- Use RF/electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, RF generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
- Develop understanding of RF component operation and parametric behavior.
- Work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field preferred.
- 8 years of hands-on experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave, and RADAR compliance testing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read technical documents, write reports, and follow instructions.
- Proficient with soldering, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, and other test/repair tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and use of hands/fingers for assembly and testing.
- Close, color, and peripheral vision required.
