R&D Engineer
Location: Kansas City, MO

Summary
Lead Research & Development activities to meet company and quality system standards. Design, prototype, validate, and document components to meet customer requirements. Supervise short-run builds, High-Reliability/Flight designs, and support sales with technical input during quoting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new filter, oscillator, and related technologies.
- Create and improve design processes, software, and test methods.
- Perform full engineering duties, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across R&D and production support.
- Provide design, pricing, and delivery input during quotes.
- Oversee development of tooling, processes, and equipment; support production and test teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (advanced education preferred).
- Hands-on filter tuning and design experience; additional experience may be gained on the job.
- Ability to read technical documents, write reports, and communicate with internal teams and customers.
- Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, graphing, and applied Ohm’s Law.
- Able to learn and use PC-based software, ERP systems, and specialized test/programming tools.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
