Summary:
Seeking a Buyer with direct/production purchasing experience to support manufacturing operations. The role focuses primarily on direct buying, with limited exposure to indirect procurement as needed. Responsibilities include supplier selection, negotiation, purchase order execution, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while optimizing cost, quality, and service.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Direct/production buying experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of purchasing, negotiation methods, and procurement regulations
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and standard business software
- Ability to analyze data, review financial information, and negotiate pricing and terms
- CPM certification preferred; entry-level to early-career profiles acceptable
