Electronic Assembler

Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler 2
Location: Irvine, CA

Duration: 6 Month Contract

1st shift: Shift: 5:30 AM – 2 PM

Pay Rate: $24/hr - $25/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly, subassembly, and packaging work
• Operate under microscopes for extended periods
• Handle small components including piezoelectric crystals and classified assemblies
• Perform PCB and cable harness assembly (intermediate level)
• Conduct mechanical assembly of small precision parts
• Mix epoxy, perform bonding, soldering, and resistance welding
• Follow blueprints, sketches, and detailed work instructions
• Perform high-voltage potting and testing (up to 12kV)
• Ensure proper ESD control and handling procedures
• Use hand tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers, heat guns, and winding/braiding machines
• Record work orders, time entries, and production data in computer systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 years of electronics assembly experience
• J-STD-001 certification preferred
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow technical instructions
• Basic computer skills for work order and time tracking systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work independently when required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands for precision work
• Frequent use of microscopes and close visual focus (including color vision)
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
