Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter / Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting schematics to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform framing carpentry, including metal stud framing and wood framing for various structures
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing materials
- Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, roofing components, and trim carpentry elements with precision
- Conduct concrete forming, masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, and plastering as needed on-site
- Support restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs
- Assist with fabrication tasks including rebar installation and metalwork for custom projects
- Execute heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site setup and material handling
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure proper installation of electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, or HVAC components
- Contribute to roofing projects and siding installation while adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or related fields such as manufacturing or remodeling is highly preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various trades including electrical and plumbing systems
- Experience with carpentry specialties such as trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, or fixture installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary on roofing or scaffolding projects
- Familiarity with construction estimating software or schematics is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Valid driver’s license preferred; willingness to learn new skills in restoration industry practices is advantageous
