What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roll Lot Material Handler 2nd Shift - Indiana position at NPX ONE?
Shift: 2nd Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Starting Pay: $23.79 (Increases with on the job training up to $27.77)
RESPONSIBILTIES/DUTIES: Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs all work in a safe manner and in accordance with prescribed safety regulations.
- Comprehends and follows written and verbal instructions.
- Inspects all fork trucks before use per the Fork Truck Inspection check list and reports any problems to the Supervisor before use.
- Operates fork truck in a manner that safely protects self, others and property.
- Removes and properly stores rolls from the extrusion lines.
- Retrieves and delivers rolls to proper thermoforming lines, keeping lines adequately supplied.
- Retrieves and delivers scrap rolls to the reclaim area.
- Ensures usage of oldest rolls first. Passes on information to next shift accordingly.
- Completes Material Handler check sheet of all rolls moved into and out of the roll lot. All rolls should be stored inside the roll lot. No rolls should be placed by the building or the silos
- Removes snow from all rolls inside the air lock.
- Changes, maintains, and fills fork truck LP cylinders as necessary.
- Re-tapes loose rolls as required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly roll lot free of foam debris.
- May assist Extrusion personnel in startup, shutdown, mandrel change or restringing of extruder as necessary.
- Cross-trained as WIP Market Material Handler and performs the job as needed.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor, Extrusion Lead, or Thermoforming Technician

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Monday – Friday and As Needed in 24/7 operation. 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Work Environment: Typical manufacturing environment.
- Physical Demands: Standing and walking for extended periods of time up to 12-hours. Climbing stairs. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Education/Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred.
- Language Ability: Must have excellent communication skills
- Math Ability: Proficient mathematical skills
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite

- Other (including certifications and licenses): Previous forklift experience prefered.
Salary : $24 - $28
